The final push

The final push...I decided to up my goal and reach the final badge for Mike. 192km for the month which would honor his service and medals 🏅 earnt in Papua 🇵🇬 during WWII. His two main roles was to cover the rear while they traversed the jungles of Kokoda & during the dead of night Mike was in charge of setting explosive traps. He said the hardest part of disarming, as one mistake or one forgotten trap could lead fatal for him or his mates. This fight was critical in defending Australia from the invader. Meanwhile Darwin was being bombed to oblivion....OUR Freedoms were never free they were fought for through sacrifice and hardship of our ANZAC forefathers. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them. It is Niave to believe our nation will never need to be defended again where the colour of our skin won't matter.
