Hiking kokoda trail

Devilbend trail run

Located approximately 21km South of Frankston and 8.5km West of Hastings. The Devilbend trail walk for our group was a comfortable 14km trail hike around the outskirts of the Reservoir. Mostly on a well worn trail, there were some patches however of the hike that was conducted on unsealed roads, especially at the Southern end. Just over 2 and a half hours at a pretty decent pace to complete. A few other hikers/bike riders at the start and a loan jogger half way, but most of the way was our 4 person group only. Lots of bird life including swans and rosellas. Kangaroo and rabbit signs observed throughout, though no sighting of those furry critters. Plenty of blackberry bushes that had a few nicely ripened berries on. Overall, a very enjoyable hike.
