Reason for the drive
In preparation for the lighthorse ultra being held in September this year, I have decided to commit to the SoldierOn - March On 2025. While others will be completing 96kms respective of the kokda trail by either run, walk or march while raising awareness and funds, I intend to conduct the event in one day on the 31st of March.
Feel free to donate if you choose. While this is an awareness raiser I am also doing this as a forced means of accountability and reminder of the privilege I have to be able to leisurely carry out such a task while others were not given such conveniences.
Support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and save lives
Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old.
So, this March, I am walking to support Soldier On's mental health services and programs to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my challenge so that we can show veterans and their families that they are not alone... we stand strong with them.
