Day 31

that's it done and dusted. did another 2km to just round it up to 100km. bit tired as we all are but we did it and raised the cash. in the next 12 mths you see me running there is probably a cop car or bomb 💣😁.. or free cake 🎂

Day 29

done. 98km. raised bit over 2k. tired but feel a bit weird.would have liked to walked the memorial path but the weather says otherwise and I can't risk the flu 🤧...part accomplished,part now what? onwards and upwards I guess. reckon captain FAZ is looking down and raised his 🍷.

Day 19.

made it to the crossing. all downhill from here . $1060 raised so I at least feel like I did something but we still have time to grind. mates helping mates 😁

Day 17

did 6km to make up from yesterday. on track. write a poem out of nothing and think with a few tweaks it will be the one I submit this year for the various ANZAC activities. I am so tired but that's the trade off.

Day 15.

half way and half way!!! 52 km down and march 5km.. bit flat but I think it's because I didn't eat before and need more fluids. same bat time tomoz.

Day 14

did 5km. and it hurt. after yesterday's kufuffle back on deck. I plan to grind out a few on the weekend though.

day 13

Did FA today. someone ate my crayons and stole my helmet mood. just getting tired and disgusted a the complete lack of support for this cause. i never asked for anything and usually am the 1st one jumping in both feet to help others but it seems it's not a 2 way street. i'll keep doing what i do but i think 1st of April a few people are going to find out some hard truths and it won't be April fools.

Day 12

slow 3 km today. to knackered.

Day 11

this split the sessions seems to be the go. less wear and tear. got 6 KMs so I'm past Munari. next landmark is waaaaayyy over the horizon but I'll get there. 20 days to go.

Day 10.

blow the leg of a table outside. was aiming for 7km to get to manari but got 5.5kmv in 2 sessions. poems ahead of schedule and some really nice feedback.

Day 8

since the 4 horsemen failed to show up and the Chinese Muslim sharks didn't invade according to the media, I did my gym thing. crank out a km but cramped so needed a refresh. got that sorted and a few pretty girls came in and suddenly motivated. did 6km slowly. so that's 7km. I'm knackered but content.

day 7

well look at me go. i did 5 km. normally i struggle to do 3. with all the 2 legged distractions at the gym today i wasn't paying attention and here we are.

so 21kms in. 75 to go. 8 poems written and 2 in the bank but still writing everyday. being there ain't much else to do on the treadmill but reflect.

Day 6

rest day 5. black 🐈‍⬛ was being a PIA. totally over the media hypocrisy and lying about the cyclone. they can't lie straight in bed. trying to train and march and the friggin TVs are everywhere. but I did 3.5km. need to catch up for yesterday. see how things are tomorrow.

Day 4

I'm knackered. but still I grind. everyone's sooky about a bit of wind and I'm picking up on their Vibe which sux. being from TSV if it's not at least a cat 3 we didn't care. Tafe is cancelled so I might see if I can crack a few extra KMs to store in the bank. and I made my donation goal. hopefully it will keep going of course..more the better. no piccy today.

Day 3

in the groove now it would seem. got my time down to 39 minutes. thinking that's a reasonable time that's not going to blow a poofful valve and if i get into a zone on weekends i can add more time.

i am knacked though and doing it tough with work, study and adding the walks to the gym. but that's kind of the point.Also 3 for 3 on the poems. the feedbacks been wonderful so i will keep writing if i keep hearing it.

day 2

new shoes and into the groove it seems. knocked 12 min off my time for 3km. 6km done. 90 to go. being a dumbass i didn't do the maths right so i have to do 6x 4km days to get to 96.. no worries.

Day 1

30 min gym. decided to use this month to maintain the muscles and lose some chub. 1st 3km down. 57 min on treadmill. 3.5spd, no incline. just a slow state cardio. best pace is to walk to the song 'jump around '. on a side note I have written 2 poems in 2 days. I'm wondering if I can write 31 in March. up the the voice I guess...

Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old. So, this March, I am walking to support Soldier On's mental health services and programs to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives. It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my challenge so that we can show veterans and their families that they are not alone... we stand strong with them. On 19 December 2019 Australia lost another veteran. Steven Fazel (Faz) died by suicide following years of combined mental illness and alcohol addiction. he was an old school mate and larrakin. He deserved better. they all do. still miss ya Fraggle..
