2025 March On Challenge

Bugger off alfred

Sick of waiting for Alfred to make his appearance so fired off a snappy 4.2km before the next rain band. I think it may be a day or two before the next chance. Very humid and the rain started on my last km. Saw it coming so the 5km goal not achieved Fletcher walked well 👍👍

My own battle

This is the first time I have been able to face something like this, but appreciate the need and those that have gone on and made the effort in the past. Thank you everyone as you make a difference to someone like me. I left the workplace in June 2020 and battled with recovery, diagnosis and functioning until medically retired with chronic PTSD and Anxiety in December 2022. DVA was actually easier than deal with than my then employer the AFP although looking back eventually both did all they could. Recovery ultimately is in our own hands, push through as the alternative isn’t a viable option - those that are left suffer more, not less. please take this as first hand experience as a large part of my PTSD was from attending suicides and the aftermath with the families as a police officer. They never recover, that’s the sad truth. Please take the harder path, I did and am eternally grateful for those I called, that listen and put up with my shit (yep it still happens) but that shit improves. Remember soldier on, march on and stay strong 👍

Support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and save lives

Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old.

So, this March, I am walking to support Soldier On's mental health services and programs to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my challenge so that we can show veterans and their families that they are not alone... we stand strong with them.

Together, let's help our heroes march on.

Thanks so much for your support.

So far, I have helped provide:

79
