20km Legends: Kunz and Smiech Set the Pace

Huge shout‑out to Kunz and Smiech for smashing a massive 20km each! And Smiech… easily the most excited runner of the day — took off at a bull-at-a-gate pace and never slowed down. Incredible effort from both!

HIPU Team Crushing a Combined 57km Like Champions

Huge shout‑out to the HIPU team for smashing a massive combined 57km!

Education Team: The 64km Powerhouse

We don’t have photos, but trust me — the Education Team smashed a massive combined 64km. In that heat, too! We’re so proud of you all. Well done, team!

12km of Glory: Ben Edition

We don’t have a photo of Ben Findlater, but we are SO proud of the 12km he smashed in the scorching heat. Well done, mate — you absolutely earned the bragging rights!

March On Challenge Day - Continuous KM's

What an incredible March ON Day at MNCCC!

Our centre came alive with energy, enthusiasm, and an amazing turnout of participants who showed up ready to walk, roll, and rally together. The atmosphere was nothing short of inspiring — a genuine display of community spirit, teamwork, and support for a truly meaningful cause.

I’m also pleased to share the outstanding outcomes from yesterday’s event:

Total funds raised yesterday: $2,784.00
Total funds raised to date: $14,056.00
Total kilometres recorded yesterday: 1,415 km

These results reflect the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm shown by everyone involved.

We would like to extend special thanks to the following people and teams whose support ensured the day ran smoothly:

• Mr Pike – Thank you for giving us the opportunity to bring MNCCC together as one team. Yesterday showed what we can achieve when we unite behind a purpose.
• Jayde – For supporting us from the very beginning, navigating the logistical chaos we created, keeping everyone fed, and even stepping in for the cleanup. We appreciate you so much, Jayde!
• Rosters (especially Les) – Your immediate willingness to support the day and assist staff who wished to participate made a huge difference.
• Stores – Thank you for delivering and collecting the gym equipment and maintaining a reliable “can‑do” approach to every request.
• Facilities Maintenance – From fixing the air‑conditioning to testing and tagging equipment, nothing was too hard. Your help ensured the event ran without a hitch.
• SOG – Thank you for leading the way with your enthusiasm and involvement — you boys were absolute weapons out there!
• Wendy – Your satellite setup was essential to the day’s success. You truly saved the event — thank you!
• Jeremy – Our OH&S superstar! From taping cords, moving equipment, filling drinks, and keeping the snacks flowing — your contribution was outstanding.
• James – Your slushie machine genuinely saved lives yesterday. We cannot thank you enough.
• Stephanie – Even while unwell, you still ensured an esky full of goodness was delivered. Your thoughtfulness and generosity did not go unnoticed.
• Brad, Pip, Bret, Shaeman, Brad, Tommy, and Kenny – You were with us from the start and showed incredible support by absolutely smashing out your kilometres.
• Our Challenge Champions — Nicole, Renee, Renae, and Kylie– Thank you for all the behind‑the‑scenes work, energy, motivation, and determination to get as many people involved as possible. Your efforts were instrumental in making the day the huge success it was.

Take a bow MNCCC - You should all be very proud of what has been achieved – you are all INCREDIBLE.

Powerhouse Group Shot

A big group shot featuring our four riders and the SOG boys — the powerhouse crew behind some seriously impressive kilometres. But a special shout‑out goes to our Challenge Champions: Renne, Renae, Nic, and Kylie. These legends spent the entire day running around the gaol, pumping everyone up, delivering snacks, keeping the energy high, and making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Pip the Pedal Pro

Pip knocked out a huge 120 km on the bike and somehow made it look absolutely effortless. Calm, steady, and strong the whole way — an absolute machine.

Brad’s Two Challenges: 160 km & Us

Not only did Brad clock a massive 160 km on the bike, he also endured an entire day of our commentary, questions, chaos, and general girl‑energy. True endurance athlete.

Parole & CC: Showing Up

Huge thank you to the Parole and Community Corrections crew for turning up and giving the treadmills a go — even if Ari applied just a little friendly peer pressure to get them moving. Your support honestly made our day!

The Pedal Power

From 7:00am–2:00pm, Ari and Trish turned the bike station into their personal endurance zone. Ari racked up 183km, and Trish smashed 155km — an effort worthy of medals, massages, and maybe a nap that lasts three business days.

The Sunshine Trio

Just a happy snap of Renee, Ruth, and John — three legends bringing good vibes to the day.

Post‑10km Treadmill Legends

After finishing an impressive 10km run, Mr Pike hopped on the treadmill next to Jade for a well‑earned cool down. Big effort, calm finish - well done!

Jax: The Quiet Weapon

Jax turned up saying he’d “never run this far before”… then casually went out and smashed a 20km run, plus a ridiculous mix of burpees, squats, and whatever else he could throw at himself. Absolute weapon energy, delivered with zero fanfare.

Rick & Jed: The Cardio Double Act

Rick and Jed jumped on the rower and the assault bike and didn’t hold back — two blokes, two machines, one shared mission: absolutely send it.

Bret: Powered by Honey Sandwiches & Pure Determination

A couple of honey sandwiches, a deep breath, and off Bret went into what he called his hardest run so far, it was bloody hot out there! Thirty kilometres later, he came back exhausted but proud — and rightly so. He smashed it.

The Boys on Tour (Gaol Edition)

Tommy, Kenny, Bret, Shaeman, and Brad snapped a mid‑run selfie that perfectly captures “we’re fine… probably.”

With Kenny on 50km, Brad on 25km, Tommy on 30km, Bret on 30km, and Shaeman on 30km, they absolutely delivered.

Walking may be optional for them today — but bragging rights definitely aren’t.

Tommy’s 30km Glow‑Up

There’s nothing better than watching someone’s hard work come together, and Tommy proved it with a massive total of 30km. He’s been training, rebuilding, and slowly upping the distance, well done mate!

The SOG Speed Demons

The SOG boys didn’t just participate — they obliterated the challenge. A ridiculous 72km of running between them, smashed out with pure grit, teamwork, and maybe a little friendly competition. Absolute machines. Thank you, legends!

Jez: Keeper of Safety & Snacks

You can’t run a big day without someone keeping the wheels turning — and that someone was Jez. From checking gear, tapping equipment, and ensuring everything was safe, to handing out snacks like an angel of OHS… he had it covered.

Boothy the Early‑Bird Enforcer

Our first participant of the day was Boothy! He jumped on the assault bike and gave it a proper nudge.

The Dawn Patrol

Ari, Brad, Kenny, and Trish gathered bright and early, smiling like they totally knew what they’d signed up for.

Kenny the Kilometer King

We’re still not convinced Kenny is fully human. He powered through a 50km run with the calm, efficient energy of a man who mistook the challenge for a warm‑up. HUGE congratulations to you Kenny!

No Days Off: Ari Takes March On to CMC Rocks QLD.

Rollin’ into CMC Rocks QLD with a cowboy hat, festival ticket… and a whole bike/Kickr setup because March On doesn’t care what weekend it is.

Style Over Speed

Ari took on a half marathon in 2 hours 22 minutes...not quite as fast as the boys, but definitely winning in the matching socks department.

Winnie Leads the Way

Winnie took Ben and Meg out for a walk… and what started as a walk quickly became Meg’s first ever run. Massive achievement!

March On Mishap

Renee and Bear started their morning with a beautiful, peaceful walk… right up until Renee was unexpectedly ambushed by a rogue tree branch and rolled her ankle in the most graceful fall ever witnessed.... If you see her limping around the centre, give her some encouragement.

The Silent Swooper

1 hour 57 minutes.....21.1 km.....And a one‑minute victory over Brett that will be talked about for the rest of March… and probably next March too. Nice work, Shaeman!

The Legend Continues

Some people run for fitness....Some run for fun....And some casually knock out a half marathon in under 2 hours like it’s a warm up lap....Absolute machine, well done Papa Smurf.

Sending a huge thank you and congratulations for your incredible efforts on Double Donation Day. In just one day, we raised $5,035.82, bringing our overall fundraising total to an amazing $10,722.00 so far! We are in the top ten for our fundraising efforts.

This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to everyone’s enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to the challenge. Week 2 has been absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together in Week 3.
