Day 1
This walk is about supporting veterans and raising awareness around mental health. It’s about showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable, and putting one foot in front of the other for people who once did the same for us. There’s something grounding about walking with intention. No distractions, no rush. Just time to think about the families impacted, the mates we’ve lost, and the importance of speaking up and supporting each other. Around the halfway mark, the legs noticed the effort, but the motivation stayed strong. Knowing that every step represents awareness, support, and hope makes the kilometres feel different. Heavier physically, but lighter mentally. Crossing the 6.2 km mark felt good — not because it was hard, but because it was honest effort. Day 1 done. No shortcuts. No excuses. I’m proud to have started. And I’m grateful for everyone who’s already shown support — messages, encouragement, and donations genuinely mean more than you know. Tomorrow we go again. One walk at a time. One conversation at a time. One life at a time.Support Our Challenge to Save Lives.
This March, we are Marching On to support Soldier On's life-saving mental health services to help our brave veterans and their families.
