Day eighteen

On night shift today which meant a 3am run on the treadmill....wow, I had my best run yet, smashing the run from Monday by 3.5 minutes! I ran 4.9 of the 5km non stop, which for me, is amazing! 33.15 is a new record for me! 3am must be my jam!

Day sixteen

Well, had a few days break and hit the treadmill today. Did the 5km in my best time so far...I wonder how much faster I'll get by the end of the month?

Day twelve

So sore from the circuit yesterday so could only manage a 1km swim....how good is swimming? Love the zen!

Day eleven

Today was an pretty uneventful day. No set run or swim, but did do a PT session with lots of events I do not like, but fitness is fitness!

Day ten

Today's run took me past half way...what an achievement. Running still sucks but my times are getting better!

Day nine

Today was another rest day as it was a 0400 rise and shine to travel back to Adelaide from Darwin. I left heavy rain and humidity for clear, blue skies and finally back home. Big day of exercise tomorrow with a swim and a run to make up for today!

Day eight

Total rest day today, but I have managed to get out of Katherine and away from the floods! Super early flight out of Darwin and back home to Adelaide!

Day seven

Today is meant to be a rest day, but with no PT gear and still stuck in Katherine due to floods, I decided that the 50m pool would be the perfect place to visit. Did my 20 Lengths (1km) and felt good. Bring on the start of next week and my 5km runs.

Day six

Well, a huge amount of rain meant I am stuck in Katherine and as such had no PT gear. Did the run later in the day in dress shorts and a plain heavy T-shirt...not fun 😁 😂

Day five

0530 start this morning so a little tired, but raring to go. With a reduced warm-up I hit the treadmill. Felt good and with more energy I was able to run for longer. Sub 40 minutes! Let's go. Finished the 5km and looked outside at the torrential rain...time to get soaked going back to my room 😞

Day four

Woke up a minute before my 0600 alarm...winning! No rain, but still very humid. No foot pain and very little stiffness today made for a better run. 60% at 6.7kmh and 40% at 10kmh made for my best time so far.

Day three

Woke up earlier today and decided to just get up and get the session done. Still sore, with a little niggle, but all good!

Day two

Early morning rise to a wet and stormy day in Darwin. Sore from yesterday, but motivated. Slower than day one, but still banked the kms
