How hard can it be?
Many people ask, “how hard can it be putting 1 foot in front of the other?”. Those people thank fully have never had the mental challenge of attempting this very simple function we learn pretty much not long after we are born. The people that don’t ask, are the ones who have found this function incredibly challenging, unforgiving and nigh on impossible, opening the door and attempting to step over that threshold day in day out, year in year out, behind the smiles, the confidence, the unwavering ability to do for others but cannot do for oneself. My challenge is not about running and walking 192km’s it’s about putting others first, reminding others there are veterans out there who can be helped, all of us being part of that team who ultimately forms the support network. Behind every statistic is a face, a family, a story and a life that mattered.Slowly but surely i’ll get to the end and return
Day 1
Since raising my page less than 48hours ago, you fantastic lovely supporters have nearly smashed my target. Your love and faith in me is amazing, I won’t let you down and together we will support our veterans and serving personnel who need support and continue to remember our comrades who sacrificed life to the struggles. ❤️Support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and save lives
Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old.
So, this March, I am walking to support Soldier On's mental health services and programs to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives.
It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my challenge so that we can show veterans and their families that they are not alone... we stand strong with them.
