...to support the mental health of our brave veterans to help them march on.

Support My Challenge to Save Lives.

This March, I am conquering 96km to support Soldier On's life-saving mental health services to help our brave veterans and their families.

Why 96km? Because I'm taking on the length of the Kokoda Track to honour the courage and sacrifice of our veterans, both past and present.

Please support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and help save lives.

Together, we can help our heroes march on.

Thanks so much for your support.

Dick, There are lots of worthy causes at this tumultuous time in our history. The only reason for my reticence. Robyn is the Convenor of SAWA (Support Association for th Women of Afghanistan) in NSW who run a school in an outlying province for young women. Despite their desire for a ‘real’ education they are usually taught to sew or weave so that they can earn a living without dependence on a male. In some locations they can’t go outside in their own yard. Life is so tough there, that tomorrow local SAWA members are assembling ‘Birthing Kits’ (a piece of plastic 1M square, Couple of pieces of string (to tie off the umbilical cord, a razor blade to cut it, a pair of disposable gloves and half a small piece of soap. Why1/2 a guest room soap? To save weight.) So I was conflicted, but this too is a very worthy cause, I trust you’ll understand why I didn’t contribute more. It does brings back some very fond memories of walking the ‘real track’ with the Termite, including Tony and my preparation! P.S. Are you paying in a bonus if you lose a few centimetres on the way? Oh and of course I owe you a beer for both your efforts and persistence Dewi Sant.
