Long day

Felt exhausted today but I pushed through and got to see the weather cool down ^_^

Evening walk

Had morning mass so had to do an evening walk. Saw a second pelican in a row ^_^

Morning walk

Today was another great walk ^_^ saw a kitten a mother in a mid poop position. Definitely not expecting that, but great walk. Little late on my walk but needed the sleep in. 31Km left! feeling so proud of myself and I know my mother would be so very proud of me also.

Morning walk ^_^

Today was cloudy and rainy but then the sun showed up at the end of the walk so that was a nice surprise ^_^ Little rainbow in the photo

Morning walk

Yes, I prefer the morning. The afternoon is a struggle for me as all I think about is when will I get to do my walk. So morning it will be. The suns out and I’m feeling extremely proud of myself. I have thoughts about wanting to do the actual Kokoda track myself in the future. I hope even is reaching their goal <3 ^_^ Reo

Morning walk

What a great way to start the day, got to explore this amazing area with wonderful views ^_^

Wet weather

Keep pushing and you wil make it ^_^

7th march - forgot again

It was a tough day, I ended up taking a lot longer on my walk as I got some bad news. But I managed to pull myself together and get the walking done. It was sweet seeing the newspaper being delivered as it reminded me of my mother when she got them delivered. I feel really proud that I am continuing this challenge and proving to myself that I can do anything. ^_^

Evening walk

Got to walk in the evening and then night, different for sure. Found some more Spanish Moss for the garden and beautiful plants ^_^

6th march forgot to post.

I walked to my family friends house yesterday 2hrs and 40mins - Was prepared for the heat with my frozen bottle. I noticed while walking on the bridge that debris from vehicles could easily be blown into the water. I picked up plastic and rubbish from the path of the bridge. This bridge does not have proper barriers if you notice the photo.

Separate my morning 5km and 5km the evening.

Today I woke up wanting to tackle the 5km to see the difference. It was really nice, I think I prefer the morning walks. Afternoon walks have a lot more people about. Finishing my walk with oranges. My legs feel fine, it’s thicker socks I need to buy to help my feet with the blisters from time to time. I also got bitten by something on my walk yesterday but it’s calmed down now. ^_^

Hot day

On my walk, found endless amounts of Lemon Myrtle. Going to ask my partner to make us some Lemon Myrtle Ice Tea ^_^ Again, oranges to help my legs with the lactic acid build up. It has really help with the last 4 days of walking.

Feeling proud

The reason I pushed myself to do this was because this is my starting platform to eventually reach my goal in the future in finishing the Appalachian Trail. I will be doing that for my mother who unfortunately passed away. It’s been a dream of mine to share her story and this challenge is helping me start that journey by starting small and helping our soldiers who need our support. It’s been a blessing getting out and walkink, I feel blessed knowing Gods helping me through all the challenges that come my way. Eating oranges after the 10mk walk assists with the lactic acid build up. Do your best but also be mindful of your body, don’t push yourself too hard and just do little by little you got this!
