The day after.

Vert sore today because I got lost and ended up walking extra km yesterday. The last 2 hours I walked in rain, I had an umbrella and it was a hard walk. When I got back home I showered, took very strong painkillers, I am a Cancer patient afterall, ate and went to bed. What a walk and would do it again Townsville has bad road signals and using my phone while walking with an umbrella in the rain was not easy. Also, I have poor hearing due to Radiology treatment, so using a search engine to give me directions is useless, I need glasses too to see instructions. One foot in front of the other was my key, I keep hydrated, but I prefer to not eat on a long walk. So, how did I go?

Finished at 6.30pm

It rained all the way home, I am knackered.

Reach edition the strand in townsville

It is 11.30am and I walked more than the 23.16km because I was walking in rain and I missed some turns because there are few road signs in this city. So, I have lost an hour and walked maybe another 10km, I taken the long road here. I will rest a bit and walk home.

Reach edition willows

Willows is a large Shopping Centre about 11km from home. Now I will follow a convoluted journey to the Strand.

My start

I began at 6am, it was still dark and overcast.

Support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and save lives

Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old.

So, this March, I am walking to support Soldier On's mental health services and programs to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my challenge so that we can show veterans and their families that they are not alone... we stand strong with them.

Together, let's help our heroes march on.

Thanks so much for your support.

So far, I have helped provide:

...to support the mental health of our brave veterans to help them march on.
