Right now in Australia, at 42%, suicide is the leading cause of death for ex-serving males aged under 30 years old.
This March, I’m taking on March On for Soldier On for the third year in a row — and every year, this cause hits harder.
Behind every uniform is a person.
Behind every person is a family.
And behind many smiles are battles we never see.
Their service may have ended — but for some, that’s when the real battle begins.
The transition back to civilian life comes with so many challenges: mental health struggles, loss of identity, physical injury, financial stress, and the weight of carrying experiences most of us will never truly understand.
I’ll be walking all March to raise funds for mental health support, recovery programs, and life-changing services for Australian veterans and their families.
Every step I take is for them.
Every dollar donated helps change a life.
