No more clocking K’s for ourselves I’m clocking K’s for others doing this today I wanted to go see the big purple man so mum help me do that it was a little scary too on the highway saw a snake on our way around the levy oh and lots of kangaroo foot prints and finally got to see the camails

3 years of “carry a mate”

For the 3 years I’ve been participating I’ve been doing extra Ks & donating them to “Carry A Mate” See “Carry A Mate” is doing is or extra Ks for another participant whom due to injury or health problems or other issues are unable to compleate their challenge so we all step up and carry them to reach “Kokoda” or thier set goal. Therefore you may only see the Ks I do for my own challenge as the extra I do is not record to my page they are donated to someone else. In this 1 photograph speaks volumes & is part of the reason why I chose to participate in the Solider On Challenge & to be a part of Carry A Mate. The photo was taken at the ANZAC Day March in London in 1919. An Australian soldier, who lost both his legs in WW1, being carried into Australia House by a mate to obtain a position of vantage to view the ANZAC Day March through the streets. Every Australian should see this photograph and understand that to those Australians who have served their country in war, mateship meant everything. Lest We Forget. 🌺🇦🇺 Photograph came from the Australian War Memorial. Image file number AWM H18643.

Luke troy

Luke Troy from Walgett NSW deployed to Afghanistan, Greater Middle East, Solomon’s Islands, West Papua, Bougainville and Iraq in 2012. little Cooper has chosen Luke for his “we salute you wall” “In honour of their strength, courage & sacrifice they made for us, our community & country & their families whom supported them, this his way to show respect as well as supporting veterans throughout Australia. 🌺🇦🇺🌺

We made the front page of the local newspaper

undertaking the challenge enables a focus on local enlisted personnel from previous conflicts. “In honour of their strength, courage & sacrifice they made for us, our community & country & their families whom supported them, this is my way to show respect as well as supporting veterans throughout Australia. “With every step we take, we honour them, respect them, show them that they are not alone & what they have done for us is appreciated by our country and their communities. “ “My youngest son joins me this year as he was most upset about our “Man on the Monument” being destroyed recently & he wanted to take part to help & inform younger community members, not only in Walgett, but Australia wide, about why memorials like the “Man on the Monument” are so important.”

David staunton colless

Mr david hutchinson

David joined the army 2nd June 1970 and discharged in 1976 June served in Vietnam from June 1971 until the 18th of November when Australia bought the boys home
