The March Beyond the Event

After the March On Melbourne event in Altona, one thing has stayed with me — a reminder that the challenge doesn’t end when the crowd goes home.

If anything, that’s when the real march begins.

Events give us connection, purpose, and community.
But just as important are the quieter days that follow — the days where we keep showing up, step after step, even when no one’s watching.

Because for many veterans, that’s exactly what their journey looks like:

Quiet resilience.
Daily battles.
Silent courage.

March On isn’t a one‑day event — it’s a commitment.

A commitment to those still fighting unseen battles.
To the families carrying heavy loads.
To honouring those we’ve lost — every day, every kilometre.
