Support my challenge to prevent veteran suicide and save lives

Right now in Australia, veterans aged 24–44 are 2.7 times more likely to die by suicide than other members of our community. That statistic represents real people, real families, and lives forever changed.


Last year, I set out to walk 96 km from Cranbrook to Albany in 24 hours for veteran mental health — and I didn’t quite make it. But what last year showed me is this: when it comes to preventing veteran suicide, you don’t stop because it’s hard.


This year, I’m returning to the same 96 km challenge, determined to go further and do better, to support Soldier On and the vital mental-health services and programs they provide to help prevent veteran suicide and save lives.


Mental health and suicide hit close to home for me. Every kilometre of this walk is about showing veterans and their families that they are not alone, that support exists, and that people are willing to keep showing up.
